Energy materials need a broad array of research activities in semiconductor materials growth, physical properties, and electronic and optoelectronic devices. This field covers, both experimentally and theoretically, the topics energy generation and storage with strong efforts in catalysis, fuel cells, batteries, thermoelectric, piezoelectric, and photovoltaics.
